MY CHILD AT SCHOOL APP
Communication's eg, texts and emails are usually sent through MCAS. Usernames and passwords are issued during the admission process.
Home School Diary
At John Ray Infant School every child has a home school diary which hopes to provide a direct exchange of information and dialogue between home and school. This diary is also used by staff, parents and carers to add comments when reading with children. We believe that all children will learn better if home and school work together in partnership.
CONTACTING STAFF
We understand that for many people email is a quick and efficient way of communicating. We are therefore happy to provide staff email addresses and communicate class teachers' contact details on our weekly newsletter. Although email is a quick and easy way for parents to communicate with staff, matters that require urgent attention should be communicated via the school office. Staff are not expected to respond to emails after 4pm, during weekends/holidays or when off work due to sickness. Wherever possible, we aim for emails to be responded to within 2 school days.
Learning Conferences
We have two learning conferences each year, which are held in the Autumn and Spring term. These conferences are an opportunity to talk about your child, including how they have settled into class and to discuss their learning. Teachers share ways in which your child is learning and making progress through samples of work, a pupil profile and discussion.
Annual Reports
Annual reports are prepared at the end of the summer term to give an overview of how each child has progressed during the academic year
