Summer Term Topics: People Who Help Us and Under the Sea
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we look ahead to the start of the summer term, we’re excited to let you know about a very special day planned for the first day back, Monday 2nd June.
To start our new topic, ‘People Who Help Us’, we’re inviting all children to come to school dressed as someone who helps them. This could be a doctor, nurse, firefighter, police officer, pilot, postal worker, teacher, builder – anyone your child sees as a helper in their life!
Outfits don’t need to be fancy or shop-bought, homemade touches are very welcome!
Children might want to:
• Wear a simple accessory, like a paper badge or homemade stethoscope
• Bring in a small prop, like a toy animal, medical kit, or notepad
• Dress in colours that match their chosen helper’s uniform
We can’t wait to see the children’s creativity and hear all about who they’ve chosen and why. It’s a fantastic way to launch our learning and inspire curiosity about the world around us. There will be creative style activities on this day, so please bare this in mind.
Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Mrs Pennell
EYFS Lead
We would like to invite you to come to our Class assembly on:-
Tuesday 17th June - Moles and Hedgehogs
Wednesday 18th June - Otters and Squirrels
These will start at 9am for approximately 30 minutes. You will get the chance to share some of the learning your child has been doing in Year 1.
These dates have been revised due to other commitments, apologies for any inconvenience.
Please see a letter below in regards to a fire service visit for our Foundation Stage children.
RE: Reception trip to the library

This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to visit the library and learn about books, reading and the exciting things libraries can offer.
If you would like to help on the day, please can you speak with your child’s class teacher.
We will get back to you to confirm your place for the trip.
Kind regards Mrs Pennell EYFS Lead

Many thanks
Office Team
We are taking part in an NHS fully funded new pilot scheme for oral health education lessons and mouth check which they call 'lift the lip'. It also opens accessibility to NHS Dentistry to the children of our community. A dental nurse & oral health educator from the Essex Dental Clinic will be visiting the Early Years children in June to carry out the mouth checks and give oral health education lessons.
