"Leaders develop strong relationships that empower pupils and families to participate wholeheartedly as part of the school community. The relationships that are developed between adults and pupils are underpinned by Trauma Perspective Practice and adults’ detailed knowledge of pupils. Families are very positive about their child’s school experience, stating that their children are well-supported and cared for. Families appreciate ‘Tea and Chat’ and leaders’ open-door policy and their visibility. Additionally, families commend leaders for their support and approachability. • Pupils talk confidently about the importance of respecting each other’s differences. They are very protective of other pupils with complex needs that require adult support."
